Active Supporters are involved in a range of different events and
projects to promote Greenpeace and our campaigns. From Glastonbury
festival to the Save or Delete art exhibition the activities carried
out by Greenpeace volunteers at these events is varied. Check out

The Active Supporter Network also delivers various
training programmes for people active in the network and involved
in delivering Greenpeace campaigns. Training programmes for: non-violent
direct action training, essential for participation in Greenpeace
action; and communication skills training, useful for delivering
Greenpeace campaigns around the country. |

Greenpeace Non Violent Direct Action (NVDA)
Training
Greenpeace
NVDA training is a six hour workshop that takes place around the UK as
and when there is an expressed need from the network. Taking part in a
training day is vital before taking part in Greenpeace actions. During
the day you'll have an opportunity to explore non violence, its role in
Greenpeace actions, legal issues around NVDA and how Greenpeace actions
work. The training day is experiential in nature - with small workshops
and role plays a predominant feature.
Non-violence is a Greenpeace core value, and it's role in
Greenpeace is explained throughout the day.

Greenpeace Communications Skills Training
Communication
is a vital part of any Greenpeace campaign. To communicate effectively
with the public and enable them to take action Active Supporters campaign
locally in a variety of locations from local town centres to music festivals.
During the day long training day you'll explore issues around
effective communication, Greenpeace core values and communicating Greenpeace
campaigns. The training day is experiential in nature - with small workshops
and role-plays a predominant feature.

essential for participation in Greenpeace Communications skills training.

Special Campaign Projects
From
supporting famous bands on tour, to making short films, to planning new
campaigns, to working with festivals; special projects come in many different
forms. Active Supporters often play a vital role in making these projects
a reality by volunteering to help out at the event to providing contacts
or professional assistance.
